Our Story
In an era where sustainability is evolving from voluntary to mandatory, the stakes for organizations and planetary health have never been higher. As businesses recalibrate their strategies, there's a unique opportunity for the diverse, inclusive community of Chief Sustainability Officers (CSOs) to drive impactful change.
Most of the leading CSOs are women, now occupying key roles in the C-suite and on boards across various sectors including businesses, NGOs, government, and civil society.
These women, with their vast networks and influence, are uniquely positioned to shape the future of global sustainability.
Sustainability Women in the World (SW2) was founded in Fall 2023 to empower Women CSOs to unite, amplify their collective voice, and accelerate efforts to restore planetary health. Our mission is clear: a healthy planet is essential for healthy people and profits.
Meet the Team
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive community of women to amplify the collective voice and impact of sustainability leaders to drive the changes needed to address global challenges and seize the opportunity to deliver measurable impacts.

Ann worked for almost 40 years to help multinational companies including Teva, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Honeywell and Colgate Palmolive to become one of most admired sustainability leaders in the world. As an enabler for impact, she played key roles in the green chemistry and healthcare plastic recycling movement, including launching several industry roundtables. Before starting Sustainability Women in the World (SW2) movement, as the Head of Impact and Senior Director of a start-up called Modern Meadow, she led the work to position the company as one of the most sustainable and respected nextgen biomaterial suppliers in the world. With the increasing headwinds and the rising power of CSOs, she founded SW2 with her CSO friends to seize the power of CSO to create a tide for all sustainability women in the world so that we can collectively change how we live, learn and work for a better future for all.
